Victorious Testimonies
My testimony - by Patrina continued ...
One Saturday afternoon while I was tending to one of my weekend
chores (shopping). I received a call from a friend of mine who was at home
recovering from surgery. She was crying asking me to come to her house right
away as she felt like she was dying. I was a bit hesitant at first but
something inside me bid me to go. I was reminded by the Holy Spirit that as
Christians one of our duties is to pray for the sick
When I got to her house she began to cry indicating that she was dying and will not
make it. She indicated that she felt weak and was saying that she is not living for God
and that she was sorry. As I ministered to her telling her what she needs to do to be saved
I laid my hand on her forehead and begged her not to cry as she began to gasp for air.
I saw her eyes begin to turn over in her head as her chest heaved in and out. I began to
pray and the more I prayed the worst the situation became.
I prayed even harder to my
Father in heaven. Somewhere inside me I thought maybe I should get help. But the Holy
Spirit took control and bid me to keep praying instead. As I prayed for about 5-10 mins
she became silent then took a deep breath in and then out. I could not stop praying
because the only help I know and had was Jesus. I remembered the last thing came out
of my mouth was a prayer for peace for her and with those last words she closed her eyes,
her chest stopped heaving and she was now breathing properly.
I went to the kitchen to
prepare something light for her to eat because she indicated that she hasn’t been able
to eat or keep anything down since the surgery which was approx. 3-4days earlier. But
thanks to God this time when she ate what I prepared for her she was able to kept it
down. She then sat up in her bed holding a conversation, joking and laughing as if
nothing ever took place 10-20 mins ago.
I stayed with her for about 1-2 hrs then I told
her I had to leave, she indicated that she wished I wouldn’t go because I can’t imagine
the peace she feels when I am there. When I was leaving she was walking around strong,
happy and very alert. I couldn’t help but to give God praise for what he had just done.
I was so amazed that this same person 20 mins ago was gasping for breath; eyes rolling over
in her head, is now walking around laughing and making jokes because God answers prayers and
he is definitely a ON TIME GOD. To God be the glory, GREAT things He has done
